Apple Dumplings

 

2 apples (cut into eighths) Granny Smith

2  8 oz. tins of crescent rolls

1 cup butter (2 cubes)

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

12 oz. Mountain Dew

 

Butter a 9 x 13 pan, peel and cut apples then roll each slice in a crescent roll and place in the pan making 2 rows.

Melt butter, add sugar and vanilla and barely stir. (You do not want to cook the syrup) Pour over the dumplings.

Open a can of Mountain Dew (12 oz) and pour in the pan … all around the dumplings.

Sprinkle everything with cinnamon to your taste.

 

Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. 

Cool slightly and serve, yummy with ice cream!
